[Update 2017.4] – Referral bonuses are posting less than a week after a referred party is approved for one of the accounts mentioned below.
I just received a promotional offer in my email from Capital One for the ability to earn up to $600 in their Refer a Friend program. The email subject line is “Your Name, a $200 referral bonus could be yours.”
You will earn $200 per referral as a statement credit, meaning you can refer up to 3 people. The promotion runs through June 30, 2017. I am not sure if this is targeted or not, so if you received a similar email please let us know in the comments (along with account type). Note that the fine print says “To qualify for the statement credit, anyone you refer must be a NEW Capital One cardholder and approved for a Venture, VentureOne, or Quicksilver card.” At this point I assume “NEW” implies not having a current credit relationship with Capital One, though this is vague.
Once you click through the “Refer a Friend” link in your email, Capital One will require you to login, and then will give you ONE link that works as a referral link for all 3 cards listed above.
I received this offer on my Quicksilver, though I also have Venture, Spark for Business, and Spark Miles for Business accounts. It may be targeted to Capital One personal credit account holders.
